Nolte van Staden Art and Design

My journey with creating art started at a very young age in preschool, and continued throughout my life as part of who I am, and how I live life. My inspirations come from the diversity of human cultures, tribal history in portraits, and also from the Ocean.

My first fascination came from the Zulu tribe when I was a young boy, and I ended up living as an adult in the heart of Zulu land. I was given land to build a house by the local tribal authority, and it is where my journey with the Ocean was born. A passionate love affair with sand between my toes, the sun, and the great energy of the big blue and all her amazing creatures.  I made a career as a sport scuba diver, commercial skipper, yacht-master, sailor, adventurer and also became a passionate surfer.  These inspirations can be seen in my work as an emerging artist. I mainly work with acrylic, however also work with oils and other mediums, photography and designing.

I am all about growing as an artist, evolving, experimenting on my journey of self-discovery.

I love challenges doing commissioned work, and murals. My aim is to fulfill my clients inspired requests, and go beyond their wildest dreams, stirring emotions, movement and creating color therapy taking the mind on a journey of wonder.

My style can be diverse, from realism, contemporary, and to a mixture of both abstract and realism, or whatever my clients request.

I currently have art pieces in South Africa, Germany, Turkey and a mural in Guatemala. Some of my work has also been exhibited on super yachts where I once worked in the industry.
